Creating A Mosaic Portrait – A Two Day Workshop with Deanna Kernick


When: Thursday 15th and Friday 16th August 2024
Time: 10am to 4pm
Where: Mosaics by Design Studio, Blackwood, South Australia

This portrait could be a person, an animal or even one of your pets. We will work in the direct method using a colour and black and white photo as reference. I will teach you how to choose the right colour and tone to achieve a dimensional and realistic portrait.

This workshop is suitable for people with a medium to advanced mosaic skill level working with stained glass.

Cost: $400 includes all materials (Current students receive a 10% discount).
To secure a spot in the workshop, a non refundable deposit of $50 is required.

South Australian Artist, Deanna Kernick started up her business Mosaics by Design in 2000. Since then she has created countless mosaic murals for private and corporate clients throughout Australia.

As well as creating mosaics, Deanna has a passion for teaching. Her realistic floral mosaic designs have become widely popular with students wanting to learn and improve their skills.
