Discover the art of pixelated mosaics in this relaxing and creative two-day workshop at my Adelaide Hills studio. I first developed this unique style over ten years ago, and it continues to be one of my favourite—and most therapeutic— ways to mosaic. It’s simple, satisfying, and produces stunning results.
During the workshop, you’ll create your mosaic using the direct method on a temporary backing, working from a photograph of your choice—no computer software needed! I’ll guide you through the process of manually pixelating your image, helping you bring it to life with stained glass.
You’ll be working on a small mosaic (approx. 20cm x 30cm), and while you may not complete it within the two days, you’ll leave with comprehensive notes and a demonstration on how to transfer your work to a permanent board at home.
You can choose to mosaic either a portrait or a scene. You’re welcome to use your own photo, pending approval to ensure it’s suitable for the technique.
Cost: $450 includes all materials, tea / coffee, and afternoon tea.
