For over 25 years, I’ve been creating stained glass mosaic murals for both private and corporate clients all across Australia. Teaching is also a huge passion of mine—there’s nothing I love more than sharing my knowledge and helping my students grow their skills and confidence.
Last year, I had the honour of presenting my sold-out Sensational Succulents workshop at the MAANZ International Symposium in Geelong — and the response was incredible! In March I flew to New Zealand where I was also invited to teach my Realism Workshop. Due to the overwhelming popularity and wonderful feedback, I’m thrilled to announce that I’ll be running a second workshop this year.
It’ll be held over two Sundays in August, and I can’t wait to share my knowledge with you.
In this 2-day workshop, you’ll learn how to create Dynamic Realism in mosaic by manipulating tonal qualities in stained glass. You’ll select an image from my collection and work on a temporary backing over a photo to create your own realistic mosaic. I’ll also share lots of tips and tricks to help you improve your glass cutting technique, while guiding you to focus on the light and shade of your subject.
While you may not finish your mosaic during the workshop, I’ll demonstrate how to transfer your mosaic to a permanent backing. You’ll also receive detailed notes outlining the full process, along with enough materials to complete your mosaic at home.
Cost: $450 includes all materials, tea / coffee, and morning tea.
